My favorite part of this one is how the amber and white beeswax interact to form a feeling of motion, almost wings (hence the title).

What you can’t tell from the scan is just how 3-d this piece is; it was also my most successful experiment with heavily pigmented wax and layering colors. Photograph is from this year’s May Day bonfire.
