Revisiting an old photo.

I’ve been thinking book coverish thoughts recently, and this is one of the products; I *think* it’s finished, but reserve the right to change my mind.
Model is the inimitable Jaime. This is the last new piece I had for Norwescon I’m going to post, returning to the land of digital for the nonce.
Coming up soon will be the third installment in the “Floral System” series, to be unveiled at the Balderdash show. Also in the hopper: “Elemental: City” (finally another elemental!) and some larger encaustics that are playing with the questions of gender and identity that inspired the Happy Pill Project. I am hiring models at the moment, for shoots happening over the summer and starting next month. I’m particularly looking for folks with well-defined facial bone structure (i.e. 30s Hollywood cheekbones-that-cut-glass) or athletic bodies. All races, all heights, mostly but not entirely women, no nudity required, paid or TFP (model’s choice). Seattle area.
I figured as long as I had everything set up to photograph the new mixed media pieces, I’d do a few still lifes as well. The cat had other ideas. |
