Atlantis VOGUE

Photoillustration. 2007.
I have always said that the line between high fashion photography and the fantastic is basically a wisp of smoke; this is definitely the most “fashion” of all of my SF work.

Model is the apparently retired Anna, and I consider this piece more of a collaboration than usual; I was delighted to find that when Anna arrived for the photo shoot, she not only knew who Alexander McQueen (my inspiration for that particular shoot) was, but she was a skilled corset maker and took my “lets create all the clothes out of aluminum foil and colored saran wrap” concept to an entirely new level. This shoot was not done with photoillustration in mind, but I has proven to be fertile ground for my science fictional fantasies: see also “Dreaming of Home” and "Red Bride"

12x18, run of 50

2. Open Edition mini-prints: hand-signed matted archival pigment print
